Explore my academic and career journey as I share with you my accomplishments and future aspirations
I went to High School at Columbia, in Maplewood, NJ. While taking classes like business law, career awareness, and personal finance, as well as joining the Future Business Leaders of America club, I learned I aspired to be a woman in business. Also, I learned many valuable skills at a young age from attending a public school with a very diverse population.
In HighSchool I became well aware of my outside-the-box, entrepreneur mindset, as well as my passion for fashion. So, I created my first business called Distressed Denim. I would travel to thrift stores around my area and purchase vintage levis jeans for around $7 a piece. Recognizing the current trend of jean shorts, by hand I transformed these vintage jeans into jean shorts. The feeling I got from the initially success created my future entreprenuerial drive.
In the past, I worked at two local retail stores called No. 165 and The House. I managed the cash register ensuring all the receipts correlated to sales and returns, worked on a team under pressure in a fast-paced environment by dividing tasks, and trained new employees. I have worked at Blue Mercury for the last year and a half. I Provide customer service through answering questions and clearly communicating product information such as ingredients, uses, and benefits. I Organize and replenish inventory from up to 200 brands to ensure neatness and accurate accounting.
I currently am a student at the University of Miami Herbert Business School. I am a creative, motivated, passionate, and hard-working student, majoring in Entrepreneurship. I am a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, aswell as a member of Sigma Delta Tau.
Music has always played a huge role in my life, as it motivates me daily, gets me through hard times, and provides a constant source of happiness in my life. During the summer of 2023, I got to combine my two favorite interests: music and business. I experienced a great opportunity interning at Warner Music Group, under the Business Development Department. I learned a lot about partnerships and deals, as well as learning about AI and how extremely relevant it is right now in the world of music. One of my biggest take-aways was what I learned from the differnet management styles I observed over the ten weeks.
What started as a school project, turned into a possible future career. I created ToothFairy, an at-home dental product that indicates the presence of plaque mineralization. As I realized this was an idea I was super passionate about, I spent every second of my free time working on this product, in hopes of changing the lives of many. With ToothFairy, I dream of providing everyday Americans with an affordable, convenient, and preventative solution to poor oral health.
I was born to be a leader. I plan to create a product, service, or development that improves the lives of many. I will provide my best entrepreneurial effort to make a difference.
